Easy environmental tip
Wanna help save the planet? Then stop drinking bottled water.
Aside from being a total rip-off -- ounce for ounce, bottled water costs more that gasoline -- drinking bottled water results in a lot of environmental waste. There are billions of water bottles to produce annually, and there's millions of gallons of gasoline used to ship the water from the source to the store. Yeah, you can recycle the bottles. But it's better to not use them in the first place.
In most cases bottled water is no better than the water you get from the tap. In many cases, bottled water *is* tap water. Just stop.
By yourself a reusable water bottle, or several. A biking or hiking water bottle works fine. Fill it up in the morning and you've got yourself bottled water that's cheaper, just as good, and with a much smaller environmental impact.
