Can't connect to Yahoo IM with adium
I don't know what happened, if it was the latest Adium update or what, but for some reason after restarting my computer, I've been unable to get Adium to connect to my Yahoo! IM account. It says it's connecting. But it never actually makes the connection.
Here's the fix for the problem.
1 - In the menu bar, go to Adium > Preferences....
2 - Click on the Accounts tab.
3 - Click on your Yahoo! IM account and then click the Edit button.
4 - Select the Options tab. It should look something like this:
5 - Change the login server from scs.msg.yahoo.com to 66.163.181.106 and change the port to 80. Your panel should then look like this:
6 - Click the OK button.
This should resolve the problem and Adium should then be able to connect to Yahoo! IM. I don't know, but for some reason the scs.msg.yahoo.com name is just not resolving like it should.
