Encrypting iPhone backups

One of the new features available in the iPhone 3.0 software is the ability to encrypt the backup of your iPhone that is saved on your computer. To enable this, connect your iPhone to your computer and go to the Summary tab. In the Options section there is now an option called Encrypt iPhone backup. Check the box next to this and it will prompt you for a password to use for your backups. You'll need to use the password to retrieve your backup information saved on your computer

Now that I've encrypted my iPhone backup my backup data should be protected, however, what about my other programs that iTunes syncs to such as iCal, iPhotos and most importantly Contacts? Can anyone answer this question?
