Preventing vapor lock
If you have an older car or truck that has a metal fuel line, you may be susceptible to vapor lock when the temperature gets very hot. If vapor lock occurs, this results in a rough running engine with a loss of power. Here's a trick to help prevent vapor lock.
Get a bunch of old wooden clothes pins. Attach the clothes pins along the entire length of the fuel line. Get as many on there as you can, placing them side-by-side right next to each other. Make sure that you only place them on the fuel line in locations where they will not interfere with moving parts like belts, fans, and linkages. If you do this, it will keep the fuel in your metal fuel line cooler and you will be less likely to get vapor lock in hot weather.
