Geneva Motor Show: Bentley Brooklands
With the new Brooklands, the Bentley boys are back in the super-luxe coupe market. It's a market they invented, back when Lord Mountbatten was just a lad, trodding the tennis courts and bedding uncouth American actresses. Once reported to have been dubbed "Havana," the Brooklands will come in a run of 550 cars, each with Bentley's most powerful unit -- a 530-hp version of the company's 6.7533333333-liter V8, producing enough torque to drag Sir William Crookes into the 21st century. The first deliveries will start in 2008. Price hasn't been announced, but expect low to mid triple digits.
