Best format for storing your music

Using Itunes on your Mac or PC, the best format to store your music in is Apple lossless. This gives you some savings in disk space with no loss in music quality. When you transfer your music to your Ipod you can convert to AAC format. This saves a lot of space on the Ipod where it is needed, at the expense of sound quality which is not as important for a portable player.

stupid.
the times of perfect sound in the living room and tape quality in your walkman is over.
good sound quality is as important on a portable player as well - and the quality of aac is good enough for both. this is not 1999 where stupid encoded 128kBit mp3s sounded shitty. go home, spare us you cool tips
