Mac external display not showing up
If you hook up an external display to your Mac and it doesn't show up right away, here's what you need to do so the display is recognized by your Mac.
1) Open System Preferences.
2) Select Displays in the Hardware section.
3) Click the Detect Displays button.
Your external display should then come to life.
