Check your dog's weight if she's limping

I have a 10 year old Lab mix who had started to limp again. The first time she showed a limp was five years ago and glucosomine fixed that. This time she was limping in spite of her daily dose of glucosomine. The problem was her weight. At 95lbs she limped; now she's down to 87lbs and the limp is almost all gone

Is she limping from the hips or the front legs? Hip arthiritis is very common in labs (I have a 14-year-old myself and difficult for her to pull herself up from the ground.) In any case, glucosamine does help, as well as weight loss!
