Adium typing icon gets stuck on

Adium sometimes has a problem where a friends icon will get stuck in the "they're typing a message to you" state and it'll stay like for a long time. Like hours. I don't know why, but this really bugs me.

The fix I've found is to double-click on the name with the stuck icon to open a messaging window. Then close the window. The icon resets itself.
