If you use MySpaceIM you probably want to adjust your privacy settings so that you don't get a bunch of instant messaging spam from random users. You can adjust the setting of MySpaceIM so that you can only get messages from people who are only on your contact list.

To adjust this setting, select File from the command line and then select Preferences. When the preferences pane opens, select the Privacy tab. Under Who can contact me , choose the Only people on my Contact List option and then click OK. Once you do this, you will only be able to get instant messages from people on your contact list.
